Hamnarbetarförbundet decides on full strike actions in Swedish ports, starting on March 6th
The conflict in Swedish ports transitions into full-scale strike
The employer organization Sveriges Hamnar announced several fighting actions against the union organization Hamnarbetarförbundet on February 22nd. Among the actions were a prohibition to order over-time, and the hiring of new workers - both part- and full time, starting on March 6th and lasting until July 30th. The union responded with an announcement on a planned strike for all their members in all Swedish ports, meaning approximately 1000 to 1300 workers will begin their strike on March 6th.
The implication this strike may have on our organization/service is still unclear, but our work will continue depending on the workforce situation in the ports we operate in, which today looking good.
