On February 16th, the employer Svenska Hamnar announced they have cancelled all planned lockouts in Swedish ports, at the same time as Hamnarbetarförbundet schedules for another strike on February 27th
Strike in Swedish ports extended
The Swedish Hamnarbetarförbundet continues to schedule strikes in a variety of Swedish ports, and adds February 27th on their list of strikes. In a majority of the ports, it is the occational strikes that continues, but for the Stockholm-based Logent Ports & Terminals AB it also means a prohibition of ordering overtime work.
At the same time as more strikes are announced, the Swedish employer Svenska Hamnar decided on cancelling the lockouts which were planned on the same days as the strikes, allowing workers to enter their working places as usual.
The situation in Västerås, Köping, Södertälje, Oxelösund and Oskarshamn remains unaffected, and our liner traffic and operations can go on as planned.
For more information about the affected ports, please see Hamnarbetarförbundets website.
